Badcock & Rozycki is one of the longest-established literary scouting agencies in London. Founded in the early 1980s, Badcock & Rozycki has over 30 years of scouting experience. We advise our clients on the very best books coming from the UK and elsewhere for translation or adaptation for film and TV.

Badcock & Rozycki works across all genres of fiction and non-fiction, including children's and YA. Our varied client list includes publishers from around the world, as well as award-winning film and TV production companies.

Barbara
Rozycki

Barbara Rozycki has been scouting for over 30 years, first in partnership with June Badcock before becoming sole director of the company after June retired in 2011. Barbara previously worked in international sales and marketing for a UK-based publishing house.

Catherine
Harrison

Catherine has worked in publishing for almost 20 years, primarily selling rights at Random House, then Penguin Random House Children’s Books. She has a BA in Modern European Languages from Durham University. Catherine specialises in children’s and YA books.

Katie
Moran

Having previously worked in translation rights for an illustrated children’s publisher, Katie Moran made the move into scouting in 2010 and hasn’t looked back! Katie has a BA in English from Southampton University and at Badcock & Rozycki she works across all fiction and non-fiction.

Sarah
O'Halloran

Sarah O'Halloran has worked at a number of leading film and TV and literary agencies including The Agency and Curtis Brown, as well as at another scouting agency. Sarah has a degree in History from the LSE and an MA in Literature from UCD. At Badcock & Rozycki she works across all fiction and non-fiction.

Nathan
Pearce

Nathan joined us as a freelance reader in 2023. He has a BA in Journalism from the University of Sheffield and currently works in marketing for a host of West End theatre shows. Nathan enjoys reading across the full spectrum of fiction.
